Our Founder
Who We Are
Justin Williams Sr. was born and raised in New Orleans, LA. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and an MBA with a Concentration in Finance.
Justin started Helping Hand Accounting Services because people were intimidated by taxes and hated paying them. From his experience as an auditor for the City of New Orleans, he witnessed numerous business owners owing substantial amounts in sales/use tax and occupational license fees.
The issues were that they did not maintain financial records, did not have a business bank account, and/or they were misinformed by someone (often social media). If they only had a trustworthy accountant, this could have been avoided.
He saw an immediate need in the community for an accountant who specialized in taxes. He believes that small businesses are the key to strengthening the economy. After servicing hundreds of business owners, he has helped many of his clients save thousands in taxes and helped educate them on ways to scale their businesses.
Justin Williams is also a pillar in the community as the Treasurer and Board Member of AEDF, and Vice President of his BNI Business Alliance Chapter.
